CGS College Forum at UMW – March 6th, 2014

Each year The Commonwealth Governor’s School co-sponsors a college forum for high school students in the region. The purpose of the forum is for students and their families to learn about the college admissions process from college admissions officers from around the state. The forum is not exclusive to CGS students. The forum will be held on the campus of UMW on Thursday, March 6.

CTE Skills USA

The teachers and staff here at CCPS would like to take time to congratulate some students for their outstanding work. On Friday Feb. 21st and Sat. Feb 22nd a group of students traveled to Stafford and Spotsylvania for their respective CTE Skills USA competitions. We are very pleased to announce the following honors and awards. Jared Self – 3rd for culinary arts, Brandon Brookes – 2nd in electrical residential wiring, Brandon Moore 3rd for carpentry, Austin Borow 3rd for small engines, Desire Lee- 2nd in cosmetology and Maquilia Courtney – 3rd in fantasy design for cosmetology. Our students did a fantastic job as they represented themselves and Caroline professionally. All the long hours and dedication these students have given has shown through this year.
