A message from Ms. Natalie Granaas, Art Teacher at Caroline Middle School:
I would like to recognize and congratulate one of Caroline Middle School’s 6th grade student leaders, Aidan Huff, for co-winning first place in the Caroline Library, Inc., Bookmobile Design Art Contest. Aidan created his own original design, with an intriguing caption “Everybody reads! Do you?” His design clearly expressed the theme of libraries, reading and books! His design will be placed on the side of the new bus for Caroline Library, Inc. Aidan’s design was selected as a first place co- winner out of a 168 entries county wide! Wow, what an accomplishment! I am proud of you!
I would also like to recognize and congratulate all of my 6th grade and 7th grade student leaders, which placed as finalists in the Caroline Library, Inc., Bookmobile Bus Design Art Contest. Your hard work, creativity and dedication truly stood out! Way to go! I am very proud of everyone! The following is a list of finalists from Caroline Middle School:
Chester Monroe Jr.
Our classroom “SMART Goal” for this project was to be able to communicate an idea through art. This goal challenged my students, but my students worked hard and together we achieved our classroom goal! Keep up the great work and I am proud of you all!
The Caroline Library, Inc., will be displaying all the design entries submitted, and all artwork will be returned to students. Again, I am proud of my students and thankful that I can share such wonderful talent with the community of Caroline County! Our Eagles’ are truly “Soaring to New Heights”!

Candice Roberts was recommended by Senator Mark Warner for the USA Air force. During the Grand Opening of the YMCA last Friday, Mr. Roberts and Mr. Black from CHS CTE made sure she had the opportunity to introduce herself to the Senator and to shake his and personally thank him.
