The track re-surfacing design for Caroline High School is scheduled to be completed by May 7 and submitted to the County planning for review. It will be advertised on May 13 in the Caroline Progress, Freelance Star and Richmond Times and Dispatch. The delay in bidding is a result of a 3 week delay in obtaining the survey due to severe and extended winter weather. The bid package will allow interested contractors 14 days to provide a bid for the track project. Bids will be received on May 27 and will be presented to the Caroline School Board for approval at a special called meeting. Once awarded, work will begin on the track beginning June 2 and must be 100% complete by August 1, 2014.
