Caroline County Public Schools will be holding Public Budget Forums on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Caroline Middle School and on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Lewis and Clark Elementary School. Both forums will be held at 6:30 p.m. We hope to educate participants on issues impacting current and future school division operational budgets; and gain public input for the 2017 school division operational budget. Parents, staff, and community members are invited to attend one or both of these forums.
The Virginia Board of Education released school accreditation ratings on October 27, 2015. These ratings reflect the new school accreditation standards to better inform the public about the progress of schools toward meeting the commonwealth’s high expectations for student learning and achievement.
The following are the ratings for Caroline County Public Schools for the 2015-2016 school year:
Caroline High School- Fully Accredited
Lewis and Clark Elementary- Fully Accredited
Madison Elementary- Fully Accredited
Bowling Green- Elementary- Partially Accredited: Warned School-Pass Rate
Caroline Middle School- Partially Accredited: Warned School-Pass Rate

The Virginia Board of Education has revised its school accreditation standards to better inform the public about the progress of schools toward meeting the commonwealth’s high expectations for student learning and achievement. The revised Standards of Accreditation (SOA) — which will become effective on October 8 — create new ratings to differentiate schools that are close to meeting the requirements for full accreditation, or that are making significant progress, from those that are not.
