Recent Caroline High School graduate, Victoria Holtzman, competed at the TSA (Technology Students Association) National Competition this past weekend in Orlando, FLA. Caroline High School CTE Teacher, Mr. Neil Black, also attended the event to support Victoria at the competition. Congratulations to both Victoria and Mr. Black for making it to Nationals for TSA!
Ms.Adamson-Mair was presented a $500 check from McDonald’s as the Teacher of the Year.
A special called meeting of the Caroline County School Board to approve expenditures, finalize FY17, closeout the fiscal year, discuss informational items, and approve to convene into closed session will be held on June 26, 2017 at 4:30 p.m. in the conference room of the School Board Office.
The Caroline County School Board appointed Mrs. Karen Foster Principal of Caroline Middle School at their meeting on June 12, 2017. Born and raised in Virginia, Mrs. Foster graduated from James Madison University with both her Bachelors of Science and Master of Education degrees. Mrs. Foster has called Spotsylvania County home for the last 20 years. Mrs. Foster began her career in education in Fredericksburg City at James Monroe High School where she was a teacher and Field Hockey Coach. She then crossed the Rappahannock River where she served in Stafford County for just over 15 years in a variety of positions, including a teacher, County Behavior Specialist, Assistant Principal, and as a Supervisor for Special Education at the Central Office level. Mrs. Foster has served as Assistant Principal and most recently as Principal of Post Oak Middle School in Spotsylvania. She is married to a twenty-year Marine and is the proud mother to her son, who attends school in Spotsylvania County, and two bulldogs. Mrs. Foster is excited to begin work at Caroline Middle School on June 26, 2017 and to become a part of the Caroline Community!
