Caroline County Public Schools Announces Paige Carter as Director of Special Education

Caroline County Public Schools is excited to announce Paige Carter will be joining our administrative team as the Director of Special Education. Mrs. Carter will begin on 7/1/2020. Mrs. Carter graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education from East Central University in Oklahoma. She earned her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Special Education from Virginia Commonwealth University and is in the final stage of the Ph. D. program in Special Education Disability Policy at VCU. Paige is joining us from Spotsylvania County Public Schools, where she is the current Assistant Director of Student Support Services. Paige has also served at the VCU Autism Center for Excellence as a Technical Assistance Associate where she collaborated with school divisions across the state. Prior to that, Paige has served as an Autism Specialist and the Coordinator of Autism Programs. Mrs. Carter worked as an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher for Caroline County Public Schools from 1998 to 2006. During her career, she earned distinction as a National Board Certified Teacher in 2006 and holds a license as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Mrs. Carter looks forward to working with the CCPS family and serving the Caroline County community where she resides with her family. CCPS welcomes Paige Carter as the new Director of Special Education.
