Caroline County Public Schools Superintendent, Dr. Sarah Calveric has been selected as a participant in the inaugural cohort of the Virginia Superintendents Leadership Academy (VSLA). Dr. Calveric is one of fifteen superintendents chosen to take part in the first-ever VSLA program. The Leadership Academy will provide participants with a unique Professional Learning Community designed to meet the challenges and opportunities of Virginia superintendents.
The VSLA curriculum is organized around the acquisition of leadership competencies identified in the Profile of a Virginia Leader, which was presented to the Virginia Board of Education in July 2020. The cohort of colleagues will engage in sessions that promote leadership strategies that help superintendents adapt to ever changing challenges facing schools and unforeseen problems that undoubtedly will occur in the future. Throughout the year-long program, Dr. Calveric will complete a capstone project focused on a problem of practice specifically focused on Caroline County Public Schools.
Caroline County Public Schools is proud of Dr. Calveric’s commitment to professional growth and congratulates her on participating in the Virginia Association of School Superintendents’ VSLA Academy.
