Mr. Travis Billups Announced as Caroline High School Assistant Principal

The Caroline County School Board appointed Mr. Travis Billups as Assistant Principal of Caroline High School at its special called meeting on July 30, 2020.

Mr. Billipus graduated from Elizabeth City State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications Studies. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Exceptional Education from George Mason University and a certificate of Educational Leadership from Longwood University.

Currently, Mr. Billiups is a Dean of Students for Richmond City Public Schools. Serving in this leadership role since 2019 has enabled him to support the development and implementation of a school-wide, tiered system of behavioral support. He was instrumental in implementing professional development that aligned with the strategic plan, mission, and vision of the division. Mr. Billups served from 2014-2019 at James River Juvenile Detention Center. He also served as a special educator for Henrico County Public Schools.. His identified strengths include equity and diversity, community partnerships, and family engagement.

Caroline County is excited to welcome Mr. Billups to the Caroline High School team for the 2020-2021 school year.
