We are pleased to announce Mr. Joseph Robinson as the newly appointed Coordinator of Virtual Learning and Innovation. Mr. Robinson joined Caroline County Public Schools in 2006, serving as a Health and Physical Education teacher, as well as an Instructional Technology Resource Teacher (ITRT) until 2014. After serving for two years in the role of Lead Technology Trainer and Developer at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College, Mr. Robinson returned to Caroline in the role of ITRT in 2016. Most recently he has served as an ITRT at Caroline High School.
Mr. Robinson’s technical IT expertise partnered with diverse instructional knowledge will support CCPS with continued enhancements essential to technology proficiency, virtual teaching and learning, professional learning, and STEM programming. This CARES Act funded position will oversee all VIRTUAL+ instructional programs and online credit recovery options. Additionally, the Coordinator provides leadership to Innovation Specialists and supports staff with crafting and deploying effective online instruction resulting in measurable student achievement. As Coordinator, Mr. Robinson will direct the design, development, and delivery of professional development related to virtual learning and integration of technology into the classroom and beyond.
