Good morning, CCPS staff, students, and families. Mother Nature has created water logged roads in Caroline County making some routes unsafe for buses and drivers at this time. CCPS will be on a two hour delay for Friday, October 30, 2020 for all employees and students. We will continue to monitor the status of bus routes after sunrise and inform you of any necessary updates. Thank you and be safe.
The Caroline County School Board appointed Mr. Bradley Griffin as Coordinator of Maintenance at its meeting on October 12, 2020.
Mr. Griffin graduated from Caroline High School. He continued his education at Germanna Community College. Bradley completed his HVAC apprenticeship through the Richmond Technical Center in Richmond, Virginia.
Mr. Griffin has over 12 years of experience with Caroline County Public Schools. He began his employment with the division as a part-time grounds worker in 2008. Striving to grow and learn within CCPS in acquiring new skills, Bradley became a licensed HVAC technician in 2012. He advanced to the position of HVAC Technician with the school division in December of 2012.
As an HVAC Technician, Mr. Griffin’s duties included maintenance and service of HVAC systems and refrigeration equipment. He installed and tested air condition and refrigeration equipment to ensure proper operation. Bradley is skilled in troubleshooting and repairing, as well as installing new variable frequency drives. Bradley is highly-visible in the buildings throughout the division as he is responsible for energy management of occupied and unoccupied school events.
Caroline County Public Schools is excited to have Mr. Griffin assume this new role within the Maintenance Department, and we congratulate him on his dedication and growth mindset he has presented over the past 12 years with the division. He will begin his new role on October 13, 2020.
