3 Penny Theatre Presents Classic Ghost Story for Christmas
3 Penny Theatre will present A Christmas Carol: a ghost story for Christmas at the Gayton Kirk Presbyterian Church on December 15 at 7 p.m. and December 17 at 2 p.m.
Everyone knows A Christmas Carol, but this production is completely different from any story of Ebeneezer Scrooge you’ve seen before – there is no cast of thousands, no singing, no dancing, and no angels flying down on wires. Instead, Caroline High School faculty and professional actor Ray Carver, as Scrooge’s creator Charles Dickens, tells the tale of the old miser playing all the characters himself — from Scrooge to the ghosts to the whole Crachit family, including Tiny Tim. Over 40 different characters in all!
“A Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story for Christmas” is a two performance only event– Friday December 15 at 7 p.m. and Sunday December 17 at 2 p.m. The performances are at the Gayton Kirk Presbyterian Church in Richmond’s far west end – 11421 Gayton Road, Henrico, VA 23238. Bring the family, this production is appropriate for children 5 and above. 3 Penny Theatre believes the arts are for everyone and Practices Radical Hospitality – All tickets are Pay What You Can – $1, $5, $10, $20 or more – Each audience member decides their own ticket price.
