Mental health issues are a real concern in our country for young people, and CHS wants to do what we can to support students who may be struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, stress, etc. Here are some things that are available for students. Please let us know if we can support your child in any way.
- Our school counselors are here for students who need support. Here is the link for your child to sign up to see their counselor (available on the CHS website): https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScxVAwCOw5emToq5MUmC_sZ8Vk7gVaJtifwyvRXFrfTp89aGA/viewform?c=0&w=1
- Silence Hurts is available on the main CHS website and is a way for students to anonymously report their own struggles or the struggles of their peers and friends. When someone reports something through Silence Hurts, all counselors and administrators receive the message and can extend support for students who are involved. The link for Silence Hurts is https://www.ccps.us/chs/silence-hurts/ .
- On our school counseling website, there is a list of mental health resources. Here is that document: http://chscounseling.blogs.ccps.us/files/2019/10/Counseling-Resources-for-website.pdf
Please reach out to us if your child or anyone in our community needs support. We are here to help.
