Praise Adimabua Buba, son of Maryann Buba and James Chambers, was selected as Student of the Month for April at Caroline High School. Praise was selected by his teachers because he is a very diligent worker, very respectful and never makes excuses or lowers his expectations for himself. Praise is a member of the SCA and the Chick-fil A Leader Academy at CHS. He has also worked with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and raised $2100 after creating a 5k in the Richmond community. He also received a $5,000 grant last August to create an annual concert/festival that will happen in the future.
After graduation Praise will attend the University of Virginia to study neuroscience.
Prior to the school closure, school counselors met with students to complete course requests for the 2020-2021 school year. These course requests can be viewed on PowerSchool’s Student Portal and Parent Portal by clicking “Class Registration” on the left side of the page. If you do not have access to Student or Parent Portal, please email your school counselor. Please inform your school counselor of any changes you would like to make to the listed course requests. Keep in mind that course requests are subject to change based on availability and/or teacher recommendation.The deadline to make changes to course requests is May 19th, 2020. After this date, course requests may not be changed. Please contact your school counselor with any questions.
Javionah Lizea Pollard, daughter of Shawn Pollard and Jacqueline Anderson, was selected as Student of the Month for March at Caroline High School. She has been the yearbook editor for the past four years and has continued the project even after the year was cut short, making sure that the yearbook for 2020 is complete. Javionah was nominated by her teachers because she is responsible, kind, dedicated, and reliable. She goes above and beyond and has even managed many teams including the football team, track, and dance, all while remaining an honor roll student.
After graduation Javionah plans to work as a CNA while attending Germanna to become an RN. She plans on transferring to Old Dominion University to obtain her bachelor’s degree.
