Thirty-three Caroline High students attended the Fredericksburg Career Fair in November. Dressing in professional attire, students visited vendors, acquired employment tips, and participated in mock interviews.
Our students received many positive remarks from businesses that attended the event, and they received valuable knowledge to prepare them for entering the workforce.
Mrs. Gwen Green started a water drive for Flint, Michigan on March 7, 2016 to help the people of Flint to have clean water to drink, cook, bathe and just do daily things that we normally take for granted. Word spread quickly and so many individuals, groups and businesses donated water, money and time. Almost 1,000 cases of water were donated in approximately two weeks.
Thank you staff and students at Caroline High School and Caroline Middle School, Shermeka Baker Latney and the CMS National Junior Honor Society, Omega Moore and the James Farmer Scholars, the church family at OMZBC, Bowling Green Baptist Church, Mount Oni, Green’s Trucking, Crews Reality, Press Yelder Trucking, Johnny’s Trucking, Billy and Son’s Power washing as well as to everyone who participated for their support of this project.
A special thank you goes to Chef Jazz for volunteering to drive the water to Flint.
