Caroline County Public Schools will be closed on Friday, August 30, 2019, due to the new Pre-Labor Day State Law. Schools will be also be closed on September 2, 2019 for the Labor Day Holiday.
Caroline County Public School’s Central Office staff have been closely monitoring the weather conditions slated for our region later today. Due to increasing intensity and possible tornadic activity, we will be conducting an early dismissal.
Caroline High School and Caroline Middle School will dismiss at 12:30 p.m. The elementary schools will depart at 1:45 p.m.
Please note, all evening activities have been cancelled. Once all students have safely departed from your campus, administration will make an announcement regarding staff dismissal. School administrators will remain in the buildings until all students have been transported home.
School will be closed for students on October 12th and 15th. October 12th is a professional development day for faculty and staff. October 15th is Fall Break for everyone.
All staff and parents will receive a Blackboard Connect call in the event of school closings or delays. Additionally, numerous media sources will be used to notify our school community of inclement weather closures: Channel 6, Channel 12, Channel 8, WFVA, WNNT & WRAR, FM 95.9 and 104.5, School’s Out, Fredericksburg.com, and Caroline Alert.
Early dismissals, late openings, and closures will be posted on the Caroline County Public Schools website (ccps.us) and Facebook.
