Eighth Grade Promotion Ceremony Information!

Dear Parents and Guardians of CMS Eighth Graders:

The big countdown to the Eighth Grade Promotion is finally here!  CMS staff members are looking forward to celebrating your child’s achievement.  This year we will have two separate events, an awards ceremony and a promotion ceremony.  The awards ceremony will be held in the Caroline Middle School Auditorium, on Monday, May 22, 2017, at 8:30 am.  At this time we will acknowledge many the achievements of the the eighth grade class over the last three years.

The promotion ceremony will be held at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 in the Caroline High School gymnasium.  Students should begin arriving at 5:30 pm and report promptly to the high school auditorium, find their 3rd period teacher, and sit with their 3rd period class.  Guest seating in the gym will begin at 6:00 pm.  All student attire should comply with the Caroline County Public Schools Dress Code. Girls should wear dresses or dress pants and a blouse.  Boys should wear slacks with the shirt tucked into the slacks, or khakis and a collared shirt.  The program will last approximately one and a half hours.  To earn the privilege of participating in the promotion ceremony, students must demonstrate appropriate behavior and continue to meet academic standards.

Additionally, students must have turned in all library books and have all school fees/fines paid in full by Monday, May 22, 2017 to be eligible to participate.  Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.    Thank you for your support.  We are looking forward to recognizing the class of 2021.
