On Friday, September 21st, the CMS PTA sponsored the first dance of the school year. We had a GREAT turnout for the dance!! 302 tickets were sold and 249 students attended the event and had a blast. We apologize for the extra time it took for the parents to pick up their children, but we appreciate your patience and understanding.
Mrs. Wright would like to set up a “duty free” lunch for teachers. We are looking for volunteers during lunch periods every Friday. The students and staff of CMS celebrated National Anthem on Friday, September 14th. This is a nationwide event that celebrates our pride in our country’s national anthem, “The Star Spangled Banner” and was sponsored by the CMS music department. Throughout the week, students participated in various activities celebrating the flag, the national anthem, and learning about the history behind the words of the anthem written by Francis Scott Key. The week ended with students competing in an art competition and a schoolwide singing of the National Anthem at 9:00 a.m. on Friday which students and staff wore their patriotic colors to school in order to celebrate this event.
