CMS participates in National Anthem Day!

The students and staff of CMS celebrated National Anthem on Friday, September 14th. This is a nationwide event that celebrates our pride in our country’s national anthem, “The Star Spangled Banner” and was sponsored by the CMS music department.  Throughout the week, students participated in various activities celebrating the flag, the national anthem, and learning about the history behind the words of the anthem written by Francis Scott Key. The week ended with students competing in an art competition and a schoolwide singing of the National Anthem at 9:00 a.m. on Friday which students and staff wore their patriotic colors to school in order to celebrate this event.

Welcome Back

Dear Caroline Middle School Community,

As the principal of Caroline Middle School, I am honored to be a part of the “Soaring Eagles” and recognize the amazing accomplishments of our students and teachers. I look forward to the exciting path we will take this year! I know that with your continued support and efforts, the Eagles will reach even higher levels of success!

This year we have “elevated” to an even higher level with our new motto:

Committed to Excellence-Whether in the classroom or extracurricular activities, we build strong leaders with good character.

Motivated to Succeed-When it comes to relationships, everything begins with respect.

Soaring to New Heights-Attitudes have the power to lift up or team down a team. Attitude is everything. What’s your motivation? The 2011-12 school year was an amazing year for students, staff and families of Caroline. Our girls’ basketball team won 1st place as District Champions and the boys’ football team brought the I-95 trophy back home! We had students win first place in essay contests and submit “art work” that won for the Middle School Level in the state on Virginia! The families of CMS, students, and staff are going above and beyond to show how amazing Caroline Middle School really is and that teaching and learning is our primary purpose to increase student achievement! I love you guys and am truly excited of the transformation we will take this school year!

Respectfully,

Angela Wright, Principal
