On behalf of the staff, administration, parents, and students of Caroline Middle School, we want to wish a warm welcome to the new principal for CMS, Mrs. Karen Foster. We are excited to begin this new chapter with you at CMS.
The Caroline County School Board appointed Mrs. Karen Foster Principal of Caroline Middle School at their meeting on June 12, 2017. Born and raised in Virginia, Mrs. Foster graduated from James Madison University with both her Bachelors of Science and Master of Education degrees. Mrs. Foster has called Spotsylvania County home for the last 20 years. Mrs. Foster began her career in education in Fredericksburg City at James Monroe High School where she was a teacher and Field Hockey Coach. She then crossed the Rappahannock River where she served in Stafford County for just over 15 years in a variety of positions, including a teacher, County Behavior Specialist, Assistant Principal, and as a Supervisor for Special Education at the Central Office level. Mrs. Foster has served as Assistant Principal and most recently as Principal of Post Oak Middle School in Spotsylvania. She is married to a twenty-year Marine and is the proud mother to her son, who attends school in Spotsylvania County, and two bulldogs. Mrs. Foster is excited to begin work at Caroline Middle School on June 26, 2017 and to become a part of the Caroline Community!
