Congratulations to the CMS Intermediate/Advanced Bands!

Congratulations to the Caroline Middle School Intermediate/Advanced Bands! In competition on Saturday, May 13th at Dorney Park, the band competed against other schools in their division (Concert Band AA).

With a score of 92.75 points and earning a Superior rating (the highest possible), the CMS band took home the first place trophy in their division. The band also went on to win the Grand Champion award for the middle school Concert Band division.

Congratulations again to the Caroline Middle School Band on this outstanding accomplishment. The CMS band us under the direction of Ms. Karen Mott.

Congratulations to the CMS Beginning Band & Chorus!

Congratulations to the Caroline Middle School Chorus and Beginning Band! In competition on Saturday, May 6th, 27 students from the chorus and 51 students from the band competed against other schools in their division (Mixed Chorus AA and Concert Band AA).

With a score of 81 points and earning an Excellent rating, the Caroline Middle School Chorus narrowly edged out their competition to take first place. Not only did these students sing well, but they also showed excellent musicianship, and supported all students who competed yesterday.

With a score of 82.5 points and earning an Excellent rating, the CMS Beginning Band placed 2nd place competing against second year players and missing 1st place by .5.

Congratulations again to the Caroline Middle School Beginning Band & Chorus on this outstanding accomplishment. The CMS chorus is directed by Mrs. Mary Yanos and the CMS band us under the direction of Ms. Karen Mott.

Middle School Band Assessment postponed to Wednesday, March 29th!

Intermediate/Advanced Band parents and students, the middle school band assessment scheduled for tomorrow (March 15th) has been postponed to Wednesday, March 29th due to the inclement weather. It will still be held at Massaponax High School and our performance time is still the same.

Congratulations to CMS Band Students for entry into All Area and District Band!

 

In the month of January and February, CMS band students auditioned to get into 2 higher level groups in the District 15 Honor Band and the All Area Honor Band. Students auditioned against students from Stafford, Spotsylvania, Quantico, Lancaster, and various counties in southern Virginia. The following students were accepted by way of audition into these higher level groups.

CMS Band and Strings win big at Hershey Park!

This past weekend, the Intermediate/Advanced Band and Strings performed in the Music in the Parks festival in Hershey, PA.  CMS did an outstanding job winning trophies for 1st place in the Concert Band division and an Excellent rating, 2nd place in the Strings division and an Excellent rating, and the school as a whole won the Esprit de Corps trophy for displaying great behavior, spirit, and respect to the festival staff and the other participating schools. Congratulations to the CMS band and strings and their directors, Ms. Karen Mott (band) and Mrs. Mary Yanos (strings).
