Pre-K takes on Problem Solving!

Last week to conclude their unit on Humpty Dumpty with a STEM project. The students in Mr. Scott’s Pre-K class created ‘beds’ for Humpty to fall into so he could avoid cracking.  They decorated his bed (tissue box) and then added a number of items (tissue paper, cotton balls, bubble wrap, handkerchiefs, etc.)  Once they thought their bed was soft enough, they allowed Humpty to fall in.  If he was safe, then their bed was soft enough.  If he received any cracks, they knew they had to add more items to make sure it was soft enough.
The children did a great job using their burgeoning critical thinking skills!
