LCES Color-A-Thon Update

We have currently raised  $2,070!
Our goal this year is  $7,500!
Students need $30 in donations to earn a t-shirt! There is still time for students to collect donations. Packets are due until April 8th!!

2019-2020 Pre-K Registration

Application Process
Caroline County Public Schools (CCPS) and Rural Family Development (RFD) Head Start offers prekindergarten at the elementary level to provide school readiness skills to eligible children with the greatest need. To be eligible for the program, a child must be 4 years old by September 30, 2019.
Families must live in the Bowling Green Elementary, Madison Elementary or Lewis & Clark Elementary School attendance zones.

Eligibility is also based on the poverty level of family income guidelines and other at-risk factors. Parents or guardians must complete the pre-application screening form, application, and parent questionnaire.
Eligible children will be administered a screening inventory.

March 20 – May 30, 2019 (Except for April 1-5, 2019 Spring Break)
June 10 – 13, 2019
June 17 – 20, 2019

STEM project with Ms. Raynore’s Class

Ms. Raynore’s Kindergarten class completed a STEM project-based learning activity which was a really great way to allow her students to be creative, while they collaborated and communicated with each other. The students worked together to paint boxes and used a variety of materials to build one giant leprechaun trap.

LCES Color-A-Thon 2019

The LCES Color-A-Thon is scheduled for April 26, 2019!
Rain date is May 3rd.
Student packets will come this week and will need to be turned in by April 8th. **The parent letter states April 5th, but April 8th is the correct deadline. 

Our goal this year is $75 per student! Students must have $30 in donations to be guaranteed a shirt and color pack!
Each student will receive a pack of silly bands when they turn in their online registration coupon to teachers!!

LCES Leprechaun Photo Booth

LCES BETA Club will be having a Leprechaun Photo Booth  from Tuesday, March 12 – Friday, March 15.  Students can take a picture with various “Leprechauns”  who are our BETA members dressed up as little Leprechauns.  The picture is $1 and all proceeds with be donated to charity.  The pictures will be taken each day in the lobby outside the forum.

LCES Raises over $10,000 for the American Heart Association!

Congratulations to the LCES Grizzlies!! We have officially set our school’s new fundraising record AND district’s all-time record of raising over $10,000. We had a  RoofTop Dance Party in front of all of the students with Mrs. Foltz wearing a unicorn costume & Mr. Cooper in a shark costume! What a great accomplishment for an amazing cause!! We want to thank everyone who donated to make this possible!!
