MES is Rocking in Our School Shoes

Madison Elementary was thrilled to welcome Eric Litwin, author of the original four Pete the Cat books, the Nuts series, and Groovy Joe series.  Eric Litwin showed the students how he incorporates music and songs in his books because he wants students to love reading.  He sang and narrated some of his stories for the school and gave us a sneak peak of his new book!  By the end of his talk everybody was up dancing!

Dr. Seuss Day

MES celebrated Dr. Seuss’ Birthday by dressing up as some of his beloved characters and completing hands on activities.  One kindergarten class designed their own wacky character using Dr. Seuss’ characters as inspiration.  They also competed in a Cat in the Hat cup stacking challenge.

Amazing Mustangs

Madison Elementary School has so many amazing people on our faculty and staff.  We are thrilled to announce our Teacher of the Year, Novice Teacher of the Year, and Support Staff of the Year for the 2017-2018 school year.  The MES Teacher of the Year is fifth grade teacher, Kendra Kidd!  The MES Novice Teacher of the Year is reading specialist, Terah Wik!  The Support Staff of the Year is our nurse, Kathleen Tinder!  Congratulations ladies and thank you for everything you do for our school!
