On the Map

First grade students had an opportunity to get creative during their map unit.  The students constructed edible maps with symbols based on different types of candy.

Kids Heart Challenge

For more than 40 years, the American Heart Association has been supporting schools like ours. And it’s parents and students like you that are the heart of our program. Since you participated in the jump rope for heart program in the past, you know firsthand how physically and emotionally rewarding our program is.

And now, we’re excited to transition to the all-new Kids Heart Challenge. Whoop! Whoop! This new program is totally reimagined and better than ever!

  1. Go to www.heart.org/kidsheartchallenge.
  2. Search for our school and select it.
  3. Choose Option 1- Yes! You participated last year.

This year, all of your Heart Heroes will come to life! Make sure to take a few seconds to download the FREE Mobile app for iPhone or Android by searching for Kids Heart Challenge and see your heroes come to life, take selfies with your heroes and fundraise on the go.

Thank you from the bottom of our heart (again, with the puns) for supporting our school and the American Heart Association.  You are making a big difference in the fight against heart disease and stroke by   supporting families just like Finn’s. Kids Heart Challenge

Students at MES got pumped up for the start of the Kids Heart Challenge during our assembly on Friday.  A member of the American Heart Association came in to introduce the students to the challenge and explain how each student could be healthy and raise awareness for heart disease.
