On Thursday parents and students flooded in to Madison to greet teachers and tour classrooms during the Open House event. Many smiles, hugs, and comments of readiness for a great year were shared and embraced. MES is anchored for success!
Madison Elementary School would like to extend a special thanks to Christ Lutheran Church and Spotswood Baptist Church, who donated school supplies to help get the incoming Mustangs prepared for their first day!
This week the Madison Mustang staff is back to school. They have been busy setting up their classrooms, attending professional development, and planning for the upcoming school year. The Mustangs have also taken time to celebrate last year’s successes with members of Caroline County Public School’s Senior Staff. They are working hard to get ready for the start of a new school year!
Today MES opened its doors to the first annual for Kindergarten Transition Day. The purpose of the day was to provide a learning experience for students who had no former prekindergarten instruction with Caroline County Public Schools. Students were greeted by Ready Freddy, a team of kindergarten teachers, and office staff. Parents attended the event with their child and received helpful information about what to expect in kindergarten, class routines, and they were provided a tour of the school. Students engaged in reading round up, participated in instructional activities, a tour, and they also took a short bus ride. Madison Elementary had 23 kindergarten Mustangs attend this fun and successful event. We look forward to seeing all kindergartners and other Mustang learners at our Open House on Thursday, August 10th, 4:00-7:00pm. The first day of school for all is August 14th. Mustang Pride!
