When learning about non-standard measurement in Kindergarten, the students did a Monster STEM activity. They had to design and build a monster that was four blocks high. This was after reading a story called “I Need My Monster” by Amanda Noll.

First grade students have loved math so far this year. They enjoy working in pairs to complete games and hands on activities. The students are also excited to use the new computer program Dreambox to learn and practice math skills.
Caroline County Public Schools is planning to publish a fourth edition Newspaper – “Caroline Connection” to distribute to Caroline County residents. The goal of the newspaper is to provide information to citizens of Caroline County concerning all aspects of Caroline County Public Schools. This will continue the momentum of communication and partnership between the schools, parents and students of Caroline.

MES welcomed about 200 grandparents to lunch for Grandparents Day. Under the direction of cafeteria manager, Vickie Thurston, the service, food, and meal plan was a success! Our grandparents enjoyed the special time with their grandchildren and their love radiated in their smiles and positive comments about the first time event.
