We wish to acknowledge the service provided by the School Nutrition Department for the benefit of the students and staff of Caroline County Public Schools. The program offers nutritious, low cost meals which help to foster good health and habits in our students.
Research has shown that properly nourished children are better prepared to learn and show greater academic gains throughout the year. As such, the functions performed by the School Nutrition staff are vital to the success of every student.
We recognize October 15-19 as National School Lunch Week in Caroline County and we applaud the School Nutrition team for their contributions to the continued success of our School Division.
October is Disability History and Awareness Month in Virginia.
Students with disabilities often encounter challenges when joining in school and community activities that students without disabilities do not face. Increasing public knowledge, awareness and understanding of disabilities will help to ensure full participation of students with disabilities into the life of their schools and communities. Helping to make others aware of the contributions that people with disabilities have made and are currently making nationally and in Virginia promotes inclusive communities.
