Good afternoon, CCPS staff and families!
After a wintry weekend filled with surprise snow, blustery winds, and frigid temperatures, our Sunday review of roadways indicates that a two-hour delay is necessary. This will provide additional daylight to support safer travel across the county, specifically routes within Sparta, Frog Level, Ruther Glen, and Lake Land’Or.
As a result, Caroline County Public Schools will operate on a two-hour delay on Monday, February 9.
- All twelve-month and essential employees report on time.
- All other staff report according to the two-hour delay schedule.
Out of continued caution for bus travel, alternate bus stops will remain in effect on Monday for the following locations – add two-hours to the listed times to account for the delay. Please note, we are happy to report that Ladysmith Village is now able to resume use of normal bus stops.
- Lake Land’Or (Heritage and Land’Or sides)
- Glen Meadows
Families residing in these areas should review the previously shared links for adjusted pickup locations and times (English version) (Spanish version). Please note that Monday is a two-hour delay – be certain to add two hours to the listed times.
Enjoy the Super Bowl, and we’ll see you in the morning!
