Caroline County Public Schools Education Foundation

The Caroline County Public Schools Education Foundation (CEF) is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as tax-exempt under 26 U.S.C. 501(C) (3) and to which contributions are tax deductible pursuant to 26 U.S.C.170. The Caroline Education Foundation (CEF) exists to promote and fund innovative educational activities, programs, and initiatives that directly benefit the students, teachers, and administrators of Caroline County Public Schools. We support endeavors of every kind, working both independently and in partnership with community and government agencies, to ensure a thriving, modern learning environment.

The CEF’s work is made possible primarily through the generous contributions from Fort Walker Forestry and private donors committed to the future of our students. Virginia law now allows taxpayers to voluntarily donate all or part of their state income tax refund to qualified organizations as approved by the General Assembly, which includes a public school foundation. Any individual eligible to receive a tax refund may designate at the time of filing their return a specified dollar amount of their refund to go to the Caroline County Public Schools Education Foundation. Please refer to Virginia Schedule ADJ and use school foundation code 033001.

Dancing Classrooms

The CEF is pleased to help support the expansion of the Dancing Classrooms of Richmond program. After a successful pilot at Madison Elementary, where all 5th-grade students met twice weekly for 10 weeks to learn various ballroom dances, the program will expand to all county elementary schools next year. This initiative goes beyond dance steps—it nurtures social-emotional growth, builds confidence, and strengthens teamwork among students. CEF is partnering with the Caroline County Foundation for Education, Recreation, and Wellness to help fund this joyful, impactful experience for more students in the 2025-2026 school year.
