WELCOME TO CAROLINE COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS.

Great Job DECA!

DECA students from CHS competed at the DECA State Leadership Conference in Virginia Beach the weekend of March 1-3. In order to be a member of DECA, students must be enrolled in one of the Marketing classes, Entrepreneurship, or Economics and Personal Finance. The students attending were Diana Aragon, Bethany Bane, Kyle Bane, Gavin Davis, Valencia Flores-Diaz, Leigh-Ann Previs, Kingston Toliver, and Micah Willams.

The team of students competing in the Integrated Marketing Campaign – Service event was a finalist and qualified to compete at the DECA International Career Development Conference held in Anaheim, California, April 27 – May 1. Their project score in the competition was a combination of their written entry, the presentation of their marketing campaign, and their individual scores on the Marketing Cluster Exam.
The team of Kyle Bane, Valencia Flores-Diaz, and Micah Williams will be working diligently this month to get their project ready to present in this higher level of competition.

As an integral part of the classroom curriculum, DECA’s industry-validated competitive events are aligned with the National Curriculum Standards in the career clusters of marketing, business management and administration, finance, and hospitality and tourism. DECA’s competitive events directly contribute to every student being college and career-ready when they graduate from high school.
