Attention: Parents who are looking for ways to support Teachers
A recent study conducted by the National School Supply and Equipment Association found that 99.5 percent of all public school teachers spent some amount of money out of pocket, with the national average (for 2013-2013) coming in at $485 among those surveyed.
Here at Caroline County Schools we recognize the invaluable contribution that teachers make to their students every day – so because of that, we have recommitted our effort to support the “Adopt A Classroom” campaign.
AdoptAClassroom.org is a United States based nonprofit organization created to help teachers purchase supplies for their classrooms by allowing people to donate directly to a teacher.
Here’s how it works – Parents and Community members visit Adoptaclassroom.org
Click on “Find a Classroom”
From there you can search by a teachers first or last name, school name, or even city and state. At this point you can find the class or classes you would like to adopt and you can choose how much you would like your contribution to be. You then provide your credit card information and the donation is complete.
100% of donations made by individual donors go directly to the registered teacher. The teacher can then use those funds to shop online and have the supplies delivered to their school.
This is an excellent way for Caroline Parents to support Caroline Teachers!
